Truly Excellent Product

Having now owned this TV for over 1 month I can honestly highly recommend it. The back lit display is nothing short of outstanding deep deep blacks and incredible detail accross Standard,HD,and of course 4K, HDR content hits what I would call middle ground, Sony deciding not to over saturate colours and brightness indeed all HDR content is reproduced with incredible realism. Turning to sound and for a modern LCD display this TV has very good sound it's not incredible by any means but more than adequate for day to day use. All in all considering it's price point if you purchase this TV you won't be disappointed. On a totally different note can I just say the way this TV is boxed is really brilliant you release the top portion of the box by unclipping four plastic clips lifting off the box to reveal the TV no more reaching inside the box fumbling to remove it (take note other manufacturers) all in all something so small but a little bit of genius that's for that Sony.

Major fault on 50Hz content

Bought this a month ago. HDR content looks great from UHD Blu-ray and external streaming sources (but the internal Android TV Netflix and Amazon Smart TV apps appear fixed at 60Hz so 24p content is shown with 3:2 pull-down and looks quite nasty) However watching any 50Hz native content (720p50, 1080i25, 1080p50) from Sky, Blu-ray, external Media Player etc. exposes a major motion processing issue (even with Motion Flow and all other processing disabled) On 50Hz content - there are regular and repeatable frames displayed out of order after a shot change, which causes a very noticeable judder. I had 3 within 10" on Strictly on Saturday. This is NOT related to viewing source (it's not just Freeview HD or Sky HD). If you watch BBC News channel you can clearly see the ticker judder after shot changes. This is not related to de-interlacing (as you also see it on 1080p50 and 720p50 progressive sources. Until this has been resolved I cannot recommend anyone to buy this TV.

Achete pour le Blutooth couplé à un appreil auditif - Il a fallu pas mal de mises à jour pour que tout cela marche - Sony devrait plus investir sur ce point : Facilité de couplage de son logiciel et reduction au maxi de la latence pour utiliser un "casque ouvert" ou un sonotone Bon point sur le pied qui rentre pile poil sur ma petite table de salon !!

Funktioniert gut Bild ist gut

Benutze Audio Geräte von Sony schon fast 40 Jahre lang. Viele Geräte sind in zwischen veraltet. Einzig ein CD Player ist nach 10 Jahren kaputt gegangen. Alle anderen Geräte haben funktioniert bis sie völlig veraltet waren.

Der Fernseher geht jeden Tag mitten in der Sendung aus und fährt dann komplett wir neu hoch. Im Ständig liegt der Stromverbrauch bei 23W, was zuviel ist. Würde das Gerät nie wieder kaufen.

J'ai acheté cette écran car je cherchais un écran avec une belle image et en même temps smart TV. Cette écran embarqué un Android et c super car tu peux installer ce que tu veux dessus comme application, streaming ou autre. Si non au niveau de l'image c'est un super écran je regarde netflix dessus et je peux vous dire que t'as lpresskon d'y être surtout avec un système de son qui va avec moi j'ai une barre de son de chez sonny aussi tant qu'à faire et qui envois du lourd

Habe den TV fast 5 Jahre. Leider ist das Bild nicht so brillant wie bei meinem Vorgänger-TV von Phi… (leider nach 2 Jahren defekt). Die Schwarztöne, also Nacht-Szenen bei Filmen verschwimmen und sehen übel aus. Ansonsten hat er eine gute Größe.

Ich hatte viel erwartet und wurde letztendlich herb enttäuscht. Bild und Ton ist okay, aber die Software ist so langsam das man manchmal denkt der Fernseher hat sich ausgeschalten oder aufgehängt. Und die wenigen Updates machen es schlimmer.

Très belle image

Propriétaire de ce téléviseur depuis 5 ans j'en suis toujours aussi content. Très belle image, bonne possibilité de réglages. La qualité du son est médiocre mais quand on a un écran comme ça on est forcément branché à un ampli prologic et là, la restitution du son par fibre optique est parfaite.

Deux axes d'amélioration " d'ailleurs sur plusieurs TV" Dans le nom des prises HDMI ou divers, il n'est pas possible de dépasser 8 caractères ? Déjà 4 hdmi c'est court, mais avec un adaptateur 1 x 3 hdmi pour le nom il faudrait au moins 16 caractères (il y à de place) Pour un serveur de média type NAS la synchro n'est pas top et une touche mise à jour serait le bienvenu. Great Android TV

This was my first Sony TV and an Android one, I was initially reluctant to buy it, but once I worked out over a few days how to use the Android parts to it, it was great, though, only when there was a massive android update could I really utilise it's benefit. The sound and colour is great.

J'ai acheté ce produit il y a 4 ans 1 600€ et je vais devoir le mettre à la déchèterie! D'après le réparateur Darty qui en a fait le constat, les TV Sony aurait le pire indice de réparabilité du marché. Il aurait mieux fallu le savoir avant ! C'est un des seuls Téléviseurs dont la dalle de led coûte plus chère à remplacer que le téléviseur aujourd'hui. Pour ma part, s'en est terminé des produits Sony soit-disant de qualité....

Seit über drei Jahren benutze ich nun diesen TV als 55 Zoll Variante. Sehr gutes Bild, schön hell im HDR Betrieb und generell nie Probleme gemacht. Neben Filmen spiele ich auch mit dem PC darüber. 4k und HDR sieht auch hier sehr gut aus und da ich keine kompetitiven Shooter spiele gibt es an der Latenz auch nichts auszusetzen. Dennoch steht für mich ein Umstieg auf ein größeres Modell an, aber nicht weil ich mittlerweile unzufrieden wäre, sondern durch einen Umzug der Sirzabstand größer wurde und deshalb ein größerer TV nötig wird. Voraussichtlich ein X90J als 75 Zoll Variante.

Second Sony tv

I have now had this TV for 3 years so can give an extended ownership opinion. I had my previous Sony TV for 9 years, only reason for giving to my mother in law was a larger screen size, 4k and practically free 4k player bundle. I bought this particular model because it is fully back-lit. This shows up nicely on 1080p. As a general rule standard definition is hit and miss. Good quality 480 looks good, poor quality, well never mind. What really stood out me is motion tracking, it doesn't blur, you can actually see the action. Recently I've bought indiana jones on 4k disc. This was a real eye opener. The depth of field and illumination on both characters in the opening temple scene was outstanding. Detail in the shadows impressive. As a test disc, really good. Sound very much so so. I use a large wired blu tooth speaker and am more than happy, picture quality is more important to me. Overall a very happy customer. Now here is the kicker, Sony samba TV. Check the Internet, it refuses to load and you can't disable it. This is an irritation but does not detract from the overall impression

Super Bild, aber Smart TV langsam

Der Fernseher hat ein Top Bild. Was für mich das wichtigste ist. Es gibt immer wieder Android TV Updates, was löblich ist. Leider ist die Oberfläche des Fernsehers aber sehr träge, so dass ich zu einer externen Streamingbox gewechselt bin, die deutlich flüssiger zu bedienen ist.

My last three TVs have been Sony. Being honest this has perhaps been my least favourite. Even though the tv is aesthetically impressive the picture isn’t quite as sharp as my neighbours Samsung and the menus can be clunky, if I could go back I’d have kept my old sony but it had a line appear in it and I had to pass it on. Also if you do go for the tv do tinker with picture modes (I went for sports) and my girlfriend at the time noticed the picture was sharper the next time she watched

Nach nur dreieinhalb Jahren hat unser teurer Sony Bravia nun plötzlich deutlich sichtbare Streifen im unteren Drittel des Bildes. Da nützt auch 4K nichts, es sieht einfach schlimm aus!

Solid and dependable Sony quality

Having a 2008 vintage Sony 46" TV still going strong in the front room I bought this for our extension 3 years ago now and it hasn't missed a beat. Quality is superb and picture is fantastic. Go and look at a Sony TV in the shop next to other brands you will see a difference. Sound quality is OK as with all these flat screen tellys, perfectly good day to day. For films and sports it is greatly enhanced by a decent sound bar

J’ai acheter ce téléviseur il y a 3 ans et j’en suis plutôt satisfait. L’image est très bonne, le son n’est top, sauf si on l’associe à une barre de son ou un home cinéma. Le gros point noir, c’est qu’au début je pouvais connecter un casque Bluetooth sans aucun problème, mais depuis une mise à jour je ne peux plus le connecter… vraiment dommage!!!

I have always had Sony TVs and this one I have had for almost 4 years now and can not fault anything, brilliant picture quality thin bezels. Paired with BOSE for better sound. It would be nice to be able to install the Apple TV app but I guess the hardware doesn't support it. Otherwise 5 stars

Gute Bild- und Tonqualität, mäßige Software

Das Gerät ist seit mittlerweile 1 1/2 Jahren im Einsatz und mit Bild und Ton bin ich sowohl bei 4K HDR Streams als auch bei der PS5 sehr zufrieden. Die Software ist allerdings nicht so dolle. Der TV lässt sich oft nur sehr sehr langsam bedienen und im Hintergrund weiter laufende Apps kann man seit einem Update im letzten Jahr nicht mehr richtig schließen - die Funktion ist einfach verschwunden. Und seit dem neuesten Update kann man Laut und Leise nicht mehr gedrückt halten, sondern muss wiederholt die Tasten drücken um die Lautstärke anzupassen. Das ist schade.

Interface Android TV catastrophique (lenteurs, plantages, etc.). Bonne qualité d'image mais Blooming rédhibitoire dans les scènes sombres. Mauvais rapport qualité-prix.

Gros problème avec hdmi arc

J'ai cette télé depuis plus d'un an et on est à des années lumières d'une télé LG. L' hdmi arc ne fonctionne pas pour la tnt et prime video mais fonctionne pour netflix et liste restreinte d'amplificateurs compatible pour un contrôle depuis la même télécommande. Saisie de texte difficile et pas de souris avec le mouvement de la télécommande. Bref , Bof!!

I've had this TV for a year or so and love it. I have it mounted on the wall. If you can stream the picture to it fast enough, the display is crisp and sharp even in high speed action sequences.

My third Sony TV in a row and have always trusted this brand. Wanted to switch to Android which hasn't been the best experience. Following every system update, I have to factory reset my TV and reset it all up to get it working correctly. Also no matter what I do Disney+ just doesn't run properly and is glitchy or just keeps prompting me resign into it. I have a 200MBS connection so it's not the internet!!! Also just noticed an entire pixel line has blown at the top of the screen - disappointed with the quality of this set compared to the two others I've had.

Great quality, great picture. Fully worth the money and the backlit LED tech gives a great picture. Easy to use Apps and loads of HDMI inputs, plus Freesat and Freeview decoders. Multiple warranty repairs - still faulty!

I have owned owned television for a couple of years now. It initially failed and required a new motherboard fitting within warranty and via the service partner. When the television returned, it was working fine except for the colour temperature adjustment controls and some other picture settings that no longer worked. I didn't want to have to send the television away again, and take a day off work for the service partner to collect it so I have lived with that fault since. The television now has another fault, potentially software related, and continues to randomly reboot when in use. Sony have offered another warranty fix, but yet again I have to take time off work to have this completed with no garuntee that the television won't exhibit the same, or another new fault in the future. I have no confidence in this television and cannot wait to justify changing it.

Très bonne image mais problémes agaçants : demarrage poussif du televiseur : temps de latence important entre le moment où on appuie sur la commande et le moment où l'image appazrait....depuis quelques temps quand on allume le televiseur il n'y a pas de son...il faut eteindre et rallumer pour avoir du son????

Der TV hat eine gute Bildqualität und ist toll verarbeitet. Leider ist kein dauerhaftes TimeShift möglich. Auch eine AirPlay Lösung fehlt und es gibt keine SkyGo App. Die andern Apps, wie Netflix, Prime, etc. sind gut implementiert.
